[Indications]

1. Adult chronic immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP)

Applicable to adult patients with chronic immune thrombocytopenic purpura who are intolerant to thrombopoietin and TPO receptor agonists, or relapse after splenectomy. This product helps to increase platelet count and reduce the risk of bleeding.

2. Adult severe aplastic anemia (SAA)

For newly diagnosed severe aplastic anemia, immunosuppressive therapy can be used; for adult patients with severe aplastic anemia whose immunosuppressive therapy is ineffective, it can be used alone.

3. Chronic hepatitis B-associated thrombocytopenia

Applicable to patients with chronic hepatitis B and low platelet count, which helps to increase platelet count to support antiviral therapy.

[Action Target]

TPO receptor (platelet production factor receptor)

Mechanism of action: This oral non-peptide TPO receptor agonist selectively binds to the TPO receptor on bone marrow megakaryocytes, promoting megakaryocyte proliferation, differentiation, and maturation, thereby increasing peripheral blood platelet count.

[Usage and Dosage]

Adult chronic immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP)

- Initial dose: Once daily, 25mg each time, taken on an empty stomach (1 hour before or 2 hours after meals).

- Dose adjustment: Blood routine examination is performed every 2 weeks, and the dose is adjusted according to the platelet count index; the maximum daily dose is 75mg.

- Maintenance standard: Maintain the platelet count within the range of 50-150×10^9/L to avoid vascular occlusion caused by excessive platelets.

Severe aplastic anemia and chronic hepatitis B-associated thrombocytopenia

Adjust the intake under the guidance of a hematologist or hepatologist; do not change the dose by yourself.

Hospitalization record

Please do not take it at the same time with multiple vitamin supplements containing calcium, iron, aluminum, magnesium, and zinc (calcium supplements, iron preparations, stomach medicines containing aluminum, multivitamins). There should be an interval of at least 4 hours, otherwise the absorption effect will be significantly reduced.

[Adverse Reactions]

Common symptoms: Nausea, diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, fatigue, dizziness, elevated transaminases, rash.

Potential risks:

1. Liver function fluctuations: Monitor liver function indicators every 2 weeks before and during use; if transaminases rise significantly, stop taking the drug.

2. Risk of vascular occlusion: The risk increases in patients with high platelet count, liver cirrhosis, or heart failure.

3. Crystalline body turbidity problems: Long-term users need regular fundus examinations.

4. Tendency of bone marrow fibrosis: Long-term high-dose intake may lead to bone marrow reticular hyperplasia.

[Contraindications]

Patients who are allergic to eltrombopag olamine or any excipient in this formulation are contraindicated.
